Comedian, presenter, actor and writer, Stephen Bailey is a proud northern, working class, gay man.
​
2025 has already been a huge success for Stephen with appearances on BBC's primetime shows including Blankety Blank and The Inner Circle. He has filmed for Comic Relief x Morning Live and returned to his roots on Channel 5 appearing on Celebrity Puzzling and later this year will film a Christmas special for the channel.
In 2024, Stephen also joined the cast of the hit Channel 5 comedy-drama, The Madame Blanc Mysteries as a recurring character, the menacing John Marsden.
The multi-award nominated star’s brand of gossipy humour has singled him out as one of the UK’s most sought-after talents for comedy and entertainment formats. As well as boasting over 100k followers on Instagram after one of his videos was shared by none other than Melissa McCarthy.
Stephen’s credits include hosting Live at the Apollo (BBC Two) and appearing on shows including Unbreakable (BBC One), co-host on Date or Drop (BBC One) alongside Amanda Holden, Would I Lie To You?, Richard Osman's House of Games, Pointless Celebrities, Celebrity Bridge of Lies, Celebrity Mastermind & Celebrity Weakest Link (BBC One), The Apprentice: You're Fired, Between The Covers & Strictly: It Takes Two (BBC Two), Live from Barry Island (BBC Wales), The Stand Up Sketch Show, Love Island: Aftersun (ITV2), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Tipping Point: Lucky Stars (ITV) and was a regular CelebAbility (ITV2).

Most recently, he has recorded BBC's new stand-up show Live From Barry Island and his debut BBC Radio 4 stand-up special "Stephen Bailey: One of Many"

After performing on Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central), he was commissioned to record his own 30 minute comedy special which aired on the channel in 2019. Over lockdown Stephen wrote and starred in his own mini-series Comedians in Quarantine: House Olympics for Comedy Central.
He has appeared on many podcasts and in 2023 hosted the prestigious British Podcast Awards, alongside fellow comedian Zoe Lyons.

As well as being a prominent talent on the UK comedy circuit, he has also supported the biggest names in stand-up, including Micky Flanagan on his arena tour, Lucy Beaumont, Katherine Ryan, Jenny Eclair, Jason Manford, John Bishop and Sarah Millican.
Stephen’s quick-wit, playful sarcasm and enigmatic charm captivates instantly. He has already made a name for himself hosting Celebs on the Farm (Channel 5), Celebs on the Ranch (MTV) and Takeshi’s Castle (Comedy Central). He was the resident Agony Uncle on Zoe Ball on Saturday/Sunday (ITV) and a series regular on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side (Channel 5).
Stephen also narrated ITV Be’s Ferne McCann: First Time Mum and Channel 4's dating show Five Dates A Week.

He has guest hosted for Sunday Takeover (Virgin Radio), The Jason Manford Show (Absolute Radio), Drivetime with Eamonn Holmes (TalkRadio), The Breakfast Show (Gaydio) and The Sunday Sessions with Laura Whitmore (BBC 5Live) and is a regular host on The Comedy Club on BBC Radio 4
He is also a proudly passionate ambassador of LGBTQ+ rights and representation within the media industry, as celebrated by leading publications including Attitude Magazine.

For corporate events, he has hosted awards shows for companies including Sainsburys, Selfridges, Barclays and Amazon and many, many more.​​
