BBC Two - Live at the Apollo

Stephen Bailey is a cocktail of class, caring and comedy, with the most flamboyant umbrella to top it all off. He's a comedian, presenter, television personality and writer, whose friendly and open brand of gossipy humour has made him one of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming acts in comedy at the moment and an in demand talent for all things showbiz/entertainment.

As a comedian, he has starred on Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2) and recorded his own 30 minute comedy special for Comedy Central., after performing stand up on Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central). He has opened for some of the biggest names in stand-up, including Katherine Ryan, Jenny Eclair and Sarah Millican and this autumn will see him open for both Jason Manford and John Bishop.

Stephen is also the host Celebs on the Farm/Ranch (MTV/Channel 5) and Takeshi's Castle on Comedy Central. He is the narrator of ITV Be's Ferne McCann: First Time Mum and starred on the latest series of Celebrity Coach Trip (E4).

Stephen wrote and starred in his own lockdown mini-series for Comedy Central Comedians in Quarantine: House Olympics. At the start of the year, his star grew as he made his BBC Radio 4 debut on Sarah Millican's Elephant in the Room.

It's been a busy few years for Stephen as he was the resident Agony Uncle on Zoe Ball on Saturday/Sunday (ITV) and a series regular on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side (Channel 5) until the end of their runs.

He's also appeared on many TV shows including Coronation Street & Good Morning Britain (ITV), The Apprentice: You're Fired (BBC Two), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Love Island: AftersunSafewordCelebAbility & The Great Xmas Rant (ITV2), Wardrobe Secrets (ITVBe), Celebrity Advice Bureau (W), Celebrity 5 Go CampingDo The Right Thing with Eamonn and Ruth, It’s Not Me, It’s You & The Jeremy Vine Show (Channel 5)... but still cannot get on Strictly.

He also guest hosted Sunday Takeover (Virgin Radio), The Jason Manford Show (Absolute Radio), Drivetime with Eamonn Holmes (TalkRadio), The Breakfast Show (Gaydio) and The Sunday Sessions with Laura Whitmore (BBC 5Live). He has featured on The Art's Show with Jonathan Ross on BBC Radio 2 and Russell Kane's BBC podcast 'Evil Genius'.

Stephen also performs at corporate and private events. He is available for after dinner comedy sets, hosting, Q&A sessions and more. A clip of him discussing LGBT rights on AOL Build went viral in 2017 and during lockdown, he started a true-crime podcast with his lawyer boyfriend called Order in the Bedroom.

In 2015, his show was nominated for the Amused Moose Comedy Award (Best Show). He performs at many corporate and charity events - including Stonewall, Paddy Power, RUComingOut, NFL and WellChild

As well as being a working-class, ginger, gay, northern comic, he is also a black belt in Tae Kwon-Do, has a degree in Languages AND loves a conspiracy theory.
